Attending the Workshop are international delegates from IAEA and nuclear companies of Russia, Japan, USA, France, and Vietnamese delegates that are policy makers, managers, scientists specializing in construction industry, leaders and specialists from construction companies, research and education institutes in Vietnam.

Addressing opening speech, VARANS Director General Vuong Huu Tan said, to ensure the economics of nuclear power projects, the good management of the construction schedule or the shorteness of the construction duration and the effective use of the national construction and installation capability as well as increasing the capabilities to supply the national construction materials for the Nuclear Power Project are extremely important. Therefore, the understanding of NPP construction technology as well as the requirements to develop the National Infrastructure for NPP construction is necessary for the policy makers and construction firms in Vietnam to enhance participation of domestic enterprises in implementing NPP projects in Ninh Thuan.

He also emphasized, the purpose of the Workshop is to provide information on NPP construction technology and the requirements to develop the national industrial infrastructure for building nuclear power plants, and sharing experiences in the field of NPP construction in some countries as well as the construction and installation capacity of some enterprises in Vietnam.

Included in the Workshop Agenda are presentations by IAEA expert on Key activities on Construction, Strategy for Localization through NPP construction. Followed by presentations exchanging experiences of nuclear power companies from Russia, Japan, France in the NPP construction technology and Industrial Infrastructure Development to support the NPP Construction. At the end of Workshop is the panel discussion among reporters, which is a forum for reporters and workshop participants to discuss on NPP Construction Technology and the National Industrial Infrastructure Development to support the NPP Construction.
