Participating in the General Conference Meeting were national representatives of Australia, Bangladesh, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Myanmar, New Zealand, Philippines, Pakistan, Thailand, Singapore, Srilanka and Vietnam. Representatives of RCA Regional Office (RCARO) and IAEA were presented in the Meeting.

Vietnam’s mission lead by Mr. Vương Hữu Tấn, Director of Vietnam Agency for Radiation and Nuclear Safety, Vietnam’s national representative attended the Meeting.



During the 01 day meeting, the participants reviewed and discussed on the following topics:

1. The meeting reviewed the report on activities to be carried out after the 36thNational Representative Meetingin New Zealand (NRM 36th).

2. RCA’s secretary reported on the implementation status of regional activities in 2014 and plan for the first half of 2015.

3. The report on the work plan proposed for the 2016-2017 period.

4. The report of the Programme Advisory Council (PAC).

5. The report of the Consultant Team on the preparation of RCA’s mid-term strategies and strategic priorities for the 2018-2023 period.

6. The report of the Consultant Team on the amendment of RCA’s Regional Cooperation Agreement.

7. Discussion on the report on voluntarycontributions of RCA members.

8. The reports of RCARO’s Director and Chairman of the Standing Advisory Council.

9. The report of the Consultant Team on roles of RCARO in the future.

10. Discussion with Technical Officers (TO) and Project Management Officers (PMO) on on-going projects.

11. Discussion on the organization of 37thNRM in Pakistan on March 16-19, 2015.



The 43rd RCA General Conference Meeting successfully took place with many topics discussed as in proposed program, which promised to bring in many remarkable results for the coming time.
