Attending the discussion to sign the contract, representative of the local authority on science and technology was Mr. Tran Tung Chuan - Director of the Department; leaders of the Division of Scientific Management and the Office of the Department and the institution carrying out the task was Mrs. Bui Thi Huy Hop - Deputy Director in charge of VISTIP; representatives of the center's divisions and key members of the task.
Since 2019, experts from VISTIP have initiated and together with experts from the Center for Agriculturel Biosciences International (CABI), BOM Software Company and a number of institutions ... have organized the research and development of application of plants Doctor - AI GreenDoctor integrates artificial intelligence (AI) technology, Big data and real-time connection technology (WebRTC) with the goal of accompanying farmers in agricultural production. This APP helps farmers identify and manage pests and diseases that threaten local, regional and national crops, livelihoods and food security. To develop and promote the effects of this Application, it requires a long-term and methodical investment and the contribution, resources from many organizations/individuals, especially the early involvement from the local authorities.
From the initial successes, through understanding the needs and situation of agricultural production in Hung Yen province, the research team proposed the task: "Applied research on plant doctors (AI GreenDoctor) to manage the care of longan trees in the direction of smart agricultural production in Hung Yen province".

The scientific and technological cooperation between Hung Yen DOST and VISTIP has an important meaning, contributing to promoting research and application of advanced technology in agricultural production in Hung Yen province. It is expected not only to bring practical effects in the fields of agricultural science and technology in the province, contribute to the development of farmers' and rural life for the purpose of socio-economic development, protect the environment of the province but also open up a new direction for the application of technology typical of the 4.0 era, digital transformation as well as the integration of science and technology in the province in the coming time.
On behalf of VISTIP, Mrs. Bui Thi Huy Hop - Deputy Director in charge thanked the Department's leaders and members of the task appraisal and evaluation Council for their cooperation and creating favorable conditions for the research and development work of VISTIP in Hung Yen province. VISTIP will ensure that the task is carried out in accordance with the objectives, contract contents and description of the tasks signed between the two parties. VISTIP wishes to continue receiving support from the Department in the future in carrying out new S&T tasks that its strengths in line with the needs and development interests of Hung Yen province.
