At the meeting, Mr. Pham Ngoc Hieu introduced the functions, tasks, activities of VTTC and the need to apply technology in the fields of domestic wastewater treatment, agricultural wastewater, and saltwater intrusion in Vietnam.
Mr. Pham Ngoc Hieu introduced the functions and activities of VTTC
Realizing that BOREAL LIGHT GmbH’s technology has many preeminent features, especially suitable for context in Vietnam such as: Solar water desalination system with affordable price; systems capable of providing high quality drinking water, irrigation water, pond water from any source of highly saline and polluted water; not requirement of the diesel generator or grid connection to operate; energy source using completely solar energy, the simplicity of design and the extremely favorable and affordable cost of paying for the production of the system, VTTC wants to learn more about cooperation opportunities and company policies to be able to apply this technology in Vietnam.
On the side of BOREAL LIGHT GmbH, Mr. Heiko Franke shared about the company’s solar water treatment technology, which began testing and developing a water filtration system in Kenya - Africa, then expanding its application in Philippines, India. This technology helps to solve the problem of global warming in the field of clean water and agricultural irrigation water. Through practical implementation, this technology helps reduce the cost of water to 0.5 USD per 1000 liters, easy to operate, maintain and repair. In addition to providing clean water and irrigation water, the operation of these projects helps provide jobs for local people, and the entire system can be controlled and monitored remotely at the headquarters in Berlin.
Mr. Heiko Franke introduced about water treatment technology operated by solar energy
Mr. Ahamed Beheshti provided more information that the application of this technology needs to be surveyed, assessed market demand, detailed about location, quality of input and output water as well as volume of water to be treated.
Mr. Ali AI-Hakim also agreed to deploy a few pilot projects to test the application of this technology in Vietnam.
Mr. Le Mong Lam thanked BOREAL LIGHT GmbH for sharing and emphasized his desire to strengthen cooperation and receive support from Germany to promote technology innovation and transfer in Vietnam.
At the end of the meeting, the two sides agreed to implement a pilot project with a capacity of about 5000 liters/day. Through the evaluation of the effectiveness of the pilot project, VTTC will support the replication, application and transfer of this technology in many regions and localities across Vietnam.
