Training course on Correspondence writing skills for research exchanges and S&T cooperation activities with foreign partners

On October 27th, 2020 in Hanoi, The Center for Vietnam Science and Technology Internationalization Promotion (the VISTIP Center) held a training course on “Correspondence writing skills for research exchanges and S&T cooperative activities with foreign partners”. Attending the training course were participants from many Institutions of Ministries such as Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Construction and Ministry of Education and Training.

In recent years, there have been more and more technology platforms that supported transactions information between partners between domestic and international Institutions, organizations as well as enterprises when implementing cooperation activities such as: viber, facebook, twitter, skype, yahoo... and other means of online exchange besides the traditional form of postal mail. However, traditional postal mail and e-mail are still indispensable types of exchange in many international transactions, especially in science and technology cooperation and trading activities. When writing transaction letters, exchanging information, conducting research cooperation activities, implementing the science projects, transferring scientific and technological knowledge with foreign partners and which content should be noted to achieve the highest efficiency? These above contents were shared in the training course accordingly.

At the training course, in addition to the experiences, skills and information shared and provided by the trainers, the trainees were discussed, exchanged with each-other, and practiced some live situations based on specific correspondence materials for each cooperation activity.

The training course also provided trainees many useful skills and experience in research exchage & cooperation activities with foreign partners as well as that has created many opportunities to connect trainees from ministries, branches with VISTIP staffs as well as FTU-trainer for potiential cooperation activities in the coming time.
