Attending the exhibition were Deputy Minister of Science and Technology (MOST) Trần Văn Tùng, Mr. Nikolaus Wollmann – Deputy Director of the Organization of Exhibition Services and International Trade Fairs (IMAG), Mr. Tạ Bá Hưng – Director of National Agency for Science and Technology Information (NASATI).
The exhibition has attracted 30 counters from 11 nations in the field of recycled and dispersed energy to participate, introduce and display their latest products. At the same time, the exhibition also created the environment to meet, exchange, cooperate with foreign partners as well as attracted the attention of domestic and foreign investors in this field.
In the Master plan on Recycled Energy (RE) Development, Vietnam has set the objectives by 2020, the production of recycled electricity would account for 5% of the total electricity production, in which the priority will be given to the development of recycled energy towards directions of small hydro-electricity, wind electricity, solar electricity,… However, the investment in energy resources as wind electricity, thermo-electricity, and solar electricity requires significant funds and high techniques. Most of equipment and components relating to recycled energy production haven’t been manufactured in Vietnam, mainly through export.
Enerexpo Vietnam 2012 would be the ideal place for meeting of institutes, universities and enterprises nationwide with international partners in RE in order to work out appropriate solutions for developing RE field in Vietnam.
Delivering a speech in the Ceremony, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Trần Văn Tùng emphasized that the organization of the exhibition was a necessary and meaningful activity. This was the good opportunity for Vietnamese managers, scientists, enterprises to have access to global advanced and modern technologies in RE field and look for reliable foreign partners in order to cooperate on the development.
